We are a beautiful 3-star country house hotel and Hereford wedding venue, set in 4 acres of parkland with beautiful views.
The hotel is ideally located on the A49 just 6 miles from Hereford and 8 miles from Ross-on-Wye, on the original route that pilgrims took to visit the shrine of St Ethelbert. Guests can be assured of a good night's sleep in this peaceful location. Most rooms have superb views across the Golden Valley.
The cosy bar has a roaring log fire in winter and access to the gardens during the summer. There is a range of snacks available at lunchtime and in the evenings. Our award-winning restaurant looks out over the gently rolling Herefordshire hills and in the evening it is the perfect location for a romantic candlelit dinner. In the grounds, guests can enjoy a game of croquet or badminton on the lawns.
The hotel is non-smoking throughout.

The Pilgrim Hotel is located in the village of Much Birch, on the a49 between Hereford and Ross-on-Wye. We are 6 miles from Hereford city centre and 8 miles from Ross-on-Wye town. From the M5 On the M5 take junction 8 following the signs for the M50. Proceed all the way down the M50 to the very end. At the first roundabout take the first exit, following the signs for the A49. At the second roundabout take the third exit. At the third roundabout take the third exit. Stay on the A49. We are approx 8 miles down this road on the left hand side. From Monmouth Follow the A40 towards Ross-on-Wye and Hereford and onto the A49 towards Hereford. The Pilgrim Hotel is 6 miles along this road on the left hand side. From Gloucester Follow the A40 to Ross-on-Wye the head towards Hereford on the A49. The Pilgrim Hotel is on the left hand side 8 miles from Ross-on-Wye. From Hereford Follow the signs for the A49 to Ross-on-Wye. The Pilgrim Hotel is located on the right hand side 6 miles from the city. By Rail The railway station is 6 miles from the hotel, and a taxi will cost approximately £10.00.
